Let's just put this one straight out there: Vincent Kompany believes that Eden Hazard is the world's best player.
Ah, it appears that the Manchester City captain may well have been slightly biased with his voting for the 2015 Ballon d'Or. Hazard, of course, stars alongside Kompany for the Belgium national team, but the notion that the Chelsea man is better than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is a strange one.
We can let him off with the Hazard selection, but his number two pick was just as ridiculous. You guessed it, he once again selected one of his international teammates.

Kevin de Bruyne, who also plays with Kompany on the club scene with Manchester City, was the Belgium captain's number two pick. Come on, Vincent, take it seriously...
So, is it Axel Witsel, Christian Benteke or Romelu Lukaku at number three? Well, Kompany actually returned to normality with his third pick, selecting eventual winner Messi.
Kompany selections
We'd all love to hear Kompany's reasons for selecting Hazard and De Bruyne over the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Luis Suarez and Neymar, but he probably doesn't have any.
It's understandable, of course, that tactics come into play when voting, but did Kompany really think his international teammates stood a chance of claiming the prize? Let's hope not.
It must be noted, then, that Hazard came in eighth position while De Bruyne just about made it into the top 20, sitting in 18th. Perhaps Kompany's selections weren't so bad after all...We will let you decide on that one.
Here's how the voting went for the 2015 Ballon d'Or.
