Indeed, the 34-year-old opted to select players specifically from his former club Barcelona. Well, to Ibrahimovic's credit, he got the eventual winner spot on as he selected Lionel Messi as his number one pick.

Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez was certainly unlucky not to take to the Ballon d'Or podium this year, but he may well take satisfaction in knowing that he was Ibrahimovic's number two pick.

Zlatan selections

Brilliant trio

Ultimately, Messi, Suarez and Neymar were incredible in the year of 2015 as they were crucial to Barcelona's record-breaking season.

The Catalans, of course, secured five trophies throughout the calendar year, so Ibrahimovic's preferences aren't exactly shocking. Ronaldo, though, will probably think differently...
