WWE's SmackDown tapings took place last night, which will be aired later this week on Thursday night, so this article contains spoilers. If you want to find out the results on the show itself, turn away now!
SmackDown continued on the Dean Ambrose vs Kevin Owens rivalry from Raw on Monday, where the Canadian attacked The Lunatic Fringe after his match to open up the show with Sheamus.
This time around however, according to Wrestling Inc, Ambrose opened up the show and asked for Owens to come down to the ring, as he wanted to put his Intercontinental Championship on the line at the Royal Rumble in a Last Man Standing match.

However, The Celtic Warrior comes out instead and interrupts Ambrose, and just as it looks like they were going to fight, Owens comes out and accepts the Intercontitel Champion's challenge, and then attacks Ambrose with Sheamus before Neville comes out to make the save.
This sets up the main event of SmackDown of Ambrose and Neville vs Owens and Sheamus. That match ends in a no-contest after both teams fight for too long outside the ring and get counted out. Ambrose and Neville then both hit their finishers on Owens to end the show.
The WWE Universe will be glad they get another opportunity to see Ambrose and Owens go at it once again, as they clashed previously last year during the semi-finals of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament at Survivor Series.
With the Intercontinental Championship on the line and a fantastic Last Man Standing stipulation added as well, this match has the potential to be a show-stealer at the Royal Rumble.
