Mohamed Elneny in England to sign for Arsenal

Arsenal are close to securing their first signing of the January transfer window, with FC Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny in England to complete formalities regarding signing a four-year deal. The 23-year-old has already passed a medical and Arsenal are hoping that they can have him available for this weekend’s Premier League fixture against Stoke City. We’ll admit it’s been a long time coming, but all the same it’ll be good for the Gunners to finally get that deal done Mesut Ozil, meanwhile, is anticipating a difficult game against Liverpool tonight, predicting that Jurgen Klopp will have prepared his team perfectly. That meeting is at Anfield, so the Reds do have an advantage. Arsenal, though, are looking to extend their lead at the top of the table.
