Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil believes Jurgen Klopp will prepare Liverpool perfectly for tonight's Premier League showdown at Anfield.

Ozil, who has been in wonderful form for the north London outfit this season, has also insisted that he's confident the Gunners can secure all three points on Merseyside.

In fact, the technically gifted star has insisted that his side are full of confidence ahead of the crunch clash.

"When you win against big teams - and win convincingly - it gives the whole team confidence," he told Arsenal Player. "But when you look at this season, we’re on a good path.

"The self-belief is there, we have developed ourselves and this year we can really achieve a lot. The team know that. We believe in ourselves and you sense that on the pitch.

"We know we can beat Liverpool and we also know that they will give their best against us, with Jurgen Klopp who will prepare them perfectly.

"But our aim is to play our game and get the three points - that’s why we’re travelling there."

Ozil the talisman

Ozil has well and truly come to prominence recently; without the injured Alexis Sanchez, the former Real Madrid man has become Arsenal's talisman in their pursuit of claiming the Premier League title.

His statistics are remarkable, of course; with 16 assists, the Germany international is on track to break Theirry Henry's record of 20 in one season. There really should be no stopping him at this stage.

But it won't be easy tonight. Klopp's side, who have been struggling to find consistency, will be determined to stop the Gunners. A point at Anfield wouldn't be bad for Wenger's side, but a win really would put Arsenal in the driving seat for title success.
