Golden State Warriors suffer third defeat of the season against Denver

The Golden State Warriors are incredibly good, but they’re not invincible. The Denver Nuggets handed Steph Curry and co. and unlikely third defeat in the Western Conference last night, ending a run of seven straight wins and inflicting just the third defeat on the Oakland-based franchise. In fairness, Curry hit 38 points and Klay Thompson went extremely close to nicking it for the Warriors at the death. The Nuggets, though, managed to hold on. Meanwhile, DeAndre Jordan’s streak of 360 straight games came to an end last night, with the center having to sit out of the Clippers game against Miami due to pneumonia. Before his absence, Jordan’s run was the longest in the league, but Doc Rivers revealed he’s been sick for at least four days.
