The date is set. On March 5, Conor McGregor will look to become the first fighter in UFC history to hold two belts at two different weight classes simultaneously. McGregor will take on Rafael dos Anjos for his Lightweight World Title.

The fight will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The venue has become almost a home venue for the enigmatic Irishman, due to the hoards of Irish fans that descend on the fight capital for each of his fights.

Toppling Another Brazilian Champion?

Rafael dos Anjos (25-7), hails from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil but fights out of Kings MMA  in California. McGregor was quick to insult the champ, calling him a 'traitor'.

McGregor took to Facebook to start the trash ("truth") talk, stating: "Mr. McGregor has chosen to dedicate the demolition job to the loyal people of Brazil and all the fans around the globe who stay true to their roots and loyal to their land."

dos Anjos most recently disposed of Donald Cerrone in just 66 seconds in December and is riding a five-fight win streak.

McGregor, if he wins, will become the first fighter to attempt to defend two belts at the same time but insists that he would like to fight four times a year, making him just as active if not more active than previous Featherweight and Lightweight Champs combined.

To do so, McGregor will have to stay injury free. Only time will tell if this is possible. And of course, he first has to topple the Brazilian Champ.

One thing is for sure, the nation of Ireland will again stay up until 6am to witness their man attempt to make history on March 5, with bated breath.
