Football News

WWE's annual Royal Rumble event is just over a week away, and the 30 entrants for the main event of the same name are slowly being revealed.

While we likely won't know all the wrestlers competing as there will be a couple of surprises (hint, The Bullet Club), WWE has given us a couple of names to entice us to watch the show.

The 12 names that have been revealed so far are Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Chris Jericho, Curtis Axel, Stardust, Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, and Big Show.

They all have a chance to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, as it is on the line thanks to Vince McMahon, and now another name has joined the list for that opportunity of glory.

The WWE has confirmed on their website that Sheamus will be entering the 30-man Royal Rumble main event for a chance to win the top prize in the company. He becomes the 13th confirmed participant for the match.

While it is unlikely that Sheamus will win the match because WWE has plenty of superstars that they'd rather push instead for the main event of WrestleMania, he is likely to have a unique elimination or/and be in the final couple of competitors still in contention near the end of the clash due to his recent holding of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

More names to fill up the 30-man list should be coming soon, as the Royal Rumble takes place on January 24, which is a little more than a week away.
