England and Manchester City women’s forward, Toni Duggan, has revealed her fantasy five-a-side selection if she got the choice of any footballer when participating in a Twitter Q&A last week.

The 24-year-old answered a series of lucky fans questions in a Twitter takeover that lasted just under 20 minutes. One admirer of the City striker asked: “Who would you pick to be in a five-a-side team with you?”

The Liverpudlian certainly showed her scouse routes when providing the answer by selecting not one but two Liverpool-born players alongside herself (scroll down to see her answer).

Without doubting what a fine attacking side that would be, not selecting any out-and-out defenders may raise a few eyebrows.

Duggan, who made her senior debut for the Three Lions in the European Championship qualifiers against Croatia back in September 2012, certainly did not hide her admiration for the former Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard. The Lioness also admitted during the takeover she grew up supporting the Reds and admired Michael Owen and indeed, Gerrard.

Interestingly, Owen did not make the cut for her five-a-side squad, however, she seemingly gave her opinion on the never-ending Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo debate, not only did she pick the Argentine in her team but she also chose the most recent Ballon d’Or winner for the answer to a question asking: “If you could choose a player in the world to play with who would it be? (Man or woman)”.

The former Everton player went on speak of the surreal feeling she gets when pulling on the national team's shirt with her name on the back, before even going as far as revealing her tips on how she manages to keep her hair in place while running around on a football field.
