"Where was that at Manchester United?”

That is the question on the lips of every United fan as Angel di Maria showcases his skills in a shooting challenge with his Paris Saint-Germain team-mates.

The Argentine winger was a massive flop at Old Trafford after joining from Real Madrid in August 2014, but it appears he has found his shooting boots in France.

The 27-year-old enjoyed a contest with five team-mates - Ezequiel Lavezzi, Layvin Kurzawa, Adrien Rabiot, Presnel Kimpembe and Hervin Ongenda - with the group taking it in turns to shoot past goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.

The video opens with Di Maria collecting the ball and firing it past Sirigu, a clip that will most likely leave United boss Louis van Gaal reeling.

Van Gaal sold the former Real Madrid star after he managed just three goals in the Premier League. Di Maria only started one of United’s final 10 games in the 2014-15 season and was sold in the summer to PSG for £44.3 million.

Worth every penny

Yet it’s quickly forgotten just how well Di Maria’s United career started. He had a goal and an assist in three of his first four games and looked to be worth every penny of the £59.7m fee United paid.

Things quickly went downhill after an attempted break-in at Di Maria’s Cheshire home. He was sent off in the FA Cup quarter-final against Arsenal and limped off with a hamstring injury in his final game of the season at Hull.

The former Benfica player has settled in well at PSG, scoring nine goals for the season and recording 11 assists.

Di Maria will return to England on March 9 when PSG take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the second leg of their Champions League round-of-16 tie.
