Steve Austin is a WWE legend and there aren't many big stars throughout the company's history that the Texas Rattlesnake hasn't faced.

However, speaking on the The Ross Report podcast with Hall of Famer Jim Ross, via Wrestling Inc, Austin revealed that their were two modern-day stars that he would love to step inside the squared circle with.

The two men: Brock Lesnar and, perhaps more surprisingly, CM Punk.

Austin mentioned that Lesnar was at the top of the busines, but it was when speaking about Punk that the former WWE Champion really went into detail, citing the now-UFC fighter's excellent ability and in-ring psychology to create one hell of a feud between the two.

"I think me and CM Punk would have sold a lot of tickets together. And again, he gets it, I get it. It would be one entertaining program." Austin said.

"He's smart. His psychology is great. He's easy in the ring, meaning his physicality, everything looks good [and] nothing hurts. Again, I would think me and him would be right on the same page psychologically and we'd be able to weave a hell of a tale."

Stone Cold even went on to add that he and Punk could have such great chemistry that either of them could play the heel or the babyface in the feud.

"And also, depending on how you played this, whether he's heel and I'm baby [or] he's baby and I'm heel or it's just two guys out there, you see both guys whether it's him on the dark side, he [has] got a tremendous mean streak, as does 'Stone Cold'," Austin said.
