We are less than a week away from the Royal Rumble and it is already guaranteed to become one of the most historic.
For the first time ever, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be defended in the Royal Rumble match.

His most prominent recent appearance was at WrestleMania XXXI where he was one of the deciding factors in the match between Sting and Triple H.
Even though he retired back in 2010, the WWE is reportedly working hard to bring him back for Sunday's big match.
Shawn Michaels' name will forever be linked with the Royal Rumble as he holds a few records of the match such as being the first man to win from the number one position and the first man to win back to back rumble matches.
However after six years of retirement, fans' hopes of seeing him back in action some day for one more match are ever fading.
Speaking on his Wooooo! Nation podcast, two time Hall of Famer Ric Flair mentioned something about Michaels appearing at the Royal Rumble.
"They want him so bad for Royal Rumble, but he ain’t budging from that ranch down there in Texas.” - Flair on Michaels in the Rumble
Michaels has remained largely absent from the WWE since his retirement rather than taking another role with WWE and he seems determined to stay that way.
Michaels may not be returning for the Royal Rumble, but the favourites to win the title have been clearly identified.
From the champion himself Roman Reigns, to Brock Lesnar, the Wyatt Family and the League of Nations, there are a lot of contenders for the title.
