Spanish TV have released a video to demonstrate just how good Barcelona forward Neymar was during their 6-0 route of Athletic Bilbao.

The video, in a ‘player-cam’ style, shows some outrageous touches and skill from the former Santos man as he embarrasses the Athletic defence throughout the 90 minutes.

Luis Suarez may have got the headlines during the win with a hat-trick on Saturday but Neymar’s performance, which included a goal and two assists, was world-class.

Athletic weren’t helped when their goalkeeper was dismissed after just four minutes for a foul in the penalty box on Suarez. Lionel Messi dispatched the resulting penalty and the home side didn’t look back.

Neymar was next on the scoresheet with a delightful dink after a Suarez pass before they reversed roles for the third goal.

The fourth goal was probably the best moment of the match for Neymar as he bamboozled the opponents defence before putting it on a plate for Ivan Rakitic.

Two further Suarez goals wrapped up yet another convincing win for Luis Enrique’s men.

Neymar has been in scintillating form this campaign having scored 16 goals in 17 appearances, forming a formidable trio with Messi and Suarez.

The 23-year-old came third in the Ballon d’Or ceremony last week and has been tipped to be the player to overhaul Cristiano Ronaldo’s and Messi’s stranglehold on the crown which they have owned for the previous eight years.

The Catalan club sit just two points behind league leaders Atletico Madrid but with a game in hand.

Can Neymar win the Ballon d'Or next year?
