Tom Brady makes Facebook joke at the expense of Julian Edelman

In overcoming the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs, the New England Patriots got one of their key offensive weapons back.

But, whilst Julian Edelman racked up 100 yards on 10 receptions in the Pats' 27-20 victory, New England quarterback Tom Brady wasn't impressed with his wide receiver in one regard; his blocking.

Or, at least, that was the joke he made at Edelman's expense on Facebook this week.

Of course, the image Brady is referring to shows the veteran QB attempting to run in a touchdown from distance during the early stages of the Chiefs game.

Although Brady was convinced he was in at the time, replays ultimately proved otherwise. A little extra work from Edelman might well have helped his friend get across the goal line.

Fortunately for Patriots fans, despite Brady's hot take, the 37-year-old isn't too annoyed with his wide receiver. He later commented on his original post, adding: "JK. Good to have you back, bud."

Brady and Edelman have developed something of a bromance over recent seasons, and that connection has made them one of the most efficient QB-WR combos in the NFL.

With Edelman back and healthy after over a month out through injury, it looks like Brady is in good spirits as he and his teammate attempt to make it back-to-back Super Bowl appearances.

And, with a spot in SB50 on the line this weekend in Denver, one thing is for sure; you can bet your house on the slot receiver putting in the hard yards for his 'bud' Brady if, and when, the time comes against the Broncos.
