Will WWE use Total Divas for John Cena/Dolph Ziggler rivalry

Football News

Well, well, well, Total Divas returned for season five this week and it picked up exactly where it left off from last season.

During the finale of season four, we saw Dolph Ziggler (Nick Nemeth) declare his love for WWE Diva Nikki Belle and even attempt to kiss her backstage during a live event. However, the bleach-blonde was stopped in his tracks and slapped by the Diva, who was clearly unimpressed with Ziggler's intentions.

Love Triangle

It has been well documented throughout the series that Nikki is desperate to get married and have children, but that is something her boyfriend, John Cena, doesn't want because of a previous failed marriage.

Cena and Nikki have been dating for several years now, but the future Hall of Fame star was clear with her from the start that he will never get married again and never wants to have children either.

It seemed like Nikki had accepted this and decided to stick with her man despite wanting a family of her own, and with her twin sister, Brie Belle, seemingly planning to start a family with her husband, Daniel Bryan, things could start getting complicated.

In Total Divas, which we must note is a reality TV show, Dolph spoke to Nikki about her future and told her that he'd be willing to marry her and have children with her. Another note here is that Ziggler and Nikki were in an on-and-off relationship for around five years before they split up and before Cena entered the picture.

The reason why they split? Ziggler didn't want to settle down and didn't want children.

Feud Set-up for ring?

This has all been revealed in the premiere of season five for Total Divas, so we're wondering, could this storyline in the show become a storyline in the ring?

Ziggler isn't really doing much these days, and although Cena is currently sidelined nursing an injury, once he returns, maybe WWE could link the two together and have a Ziggler/Cena feud.

Whenever the two have had heat in the past it's made for good TV with good matches and good microphone segments.

It's not certainly going to happen, but it's something they could think about if they want to keep Total Divas relevant.
