Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic is reportedly considering his future at Premier League champions Chelsea.

The Sun claim that the dynamic ace, who has endured a torrid campaign in west London, could decide to leave the club as he goes in search of getting his career back on track.

The 27-year-old was brilliant last season as the Blues secured the Premier League title with ease but things haven't gone entirely to plan for him - or his side - throughout the course of this campaign.

In fact, Matic, alongside Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas, just hasn't managed to control games from the midfield department. It appears, then, that he really could be thinking about leaving the club behind for the second time in his career.

And his departure could have serious consequences for Chelsea; the same report from The Sun claims that a number of players could follow the midfielder out the exit door.

Chelsea exodus

Diego Costa and Pedro have both been linked with moves away while Eden Hazard, who still hasn't scored a Premier League goal this season, has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Real are set for a transfer ban, of course, but they could yet appeal the decision as they go in search of immediate success.

After a season of turmoil and controversy at Chelsea, it's not going to be easy for the club to pick themselves up in pursuit of redemption.
