Top Three: Surprise Royal Rumble entrants who would bring the house down

This Sunday sees WWE play host to the Royal Rumble, one of the biggest and most exciting PPVs on the calendar.

The 30-man over the top rope Royal Rumble match is easily my favourite type of match just for the pure excitement and the chance to see some faces you haven't seen in a while.

To get the crowd pumped up, WWE always tend to bring back some familiar faces as entrants for this match and when it's someone special, the roof erupts.

The likes of The Boogeyman, The Godfather and Diesel have all returned in recent memory to be an entrant and this year we expect no different.

One of the best ever returns was when John Cena came down to the ring a number 30 entrant back in the 2008 Royal Rumble. The place erupted when they heard his music and when he made his way down to the ring to square off with Triple H.

So who would have that sort of impact on this year's Rumble? Well here are three picks that would bring the house down on Sunday.

1) Daniel Bryan

Now first, it doesn't even look like he has been cleared by WWE doctors to return as of yet, so this is certainly a long-shot.

It's well documented that Bryan has serious knee and arm issues due to the injury he sustained well over a year ago, and he has been dealing with concussion issues for months now.

Bryan made a brief return and won the Intercontinental title, but after more complications and problems, he had to hand over the title and leave WWE once again.

It's claimed that some doctors have medically cleared him, but it's official that no doctor that works of the company has done.

Wrestlers cannot compete until they get the green-light from company doctors and that's what is currently preventing Bryan from returning.

If he does somehow make the shock return this Sunday, the place will erupt.

2) Triple H

If 'The Game' Triple H does return to our TV screens, it will certainly get a mixed reaction.

Some WWE fans love Roman Reigns, whilst others simply hate him. For those that hate him, this return will be met with massive cheers.

Triple H hasn't been on our TV screens since he was brutally attacked by Reigns a month ago, and he's hotly tipped to be the number 30 entrant and even win the Rumble this time around.

This return would be welcomed with mixed receptions, but with a large portion of fans still not buying into Roman Reigns, it could be mainly cheers HHH makes his way to the ring.

3) AJ Styles and Samoa Joe

A joint-inclusion for the third and final point.

Picture it now. Samoa Joe, who has been in NXT for the past few months, is alone in the ring after eliminating a couple of people, the countdown begins and then AJ Styles appears.

The two had incredible feuds and rivalries with TNA and the pop of his music hitting would blow the roof off.

In a house show recently, Styles hinted that he was an entrant for the Royal Rumble, and if that is to be the case, this is how WWE should work it.

Two wrestlers that know each other well, and two that could certainly put on a show if given the chance.

So there we have it. Three superstars that should make their returns/debuts at this Sunday's Royal Rumble.
