The next time you see Neymar gracing the pitch for Barcelona, you may notice his intriguing new Nike boots.

That’s because the Brazilian has had a new ‘Ousadia Alegria’ boot personally made for him by Brazilian artist and designer Bruno Carneiro Mosciaro, best known as Bruno Big.

The words ‘Ousadia Alegria’ are important to the striker. It is believed that Neymar considers ‘Ousadia Alegria’ which translate to ‘daring’ and ‘joy’ defines his playing style and personal mantra and he’s also got the phrase tattooed on his calves.

“I associate ‘Alegria’ with the joy of living and playing football, which I love most, and ‘Ousadia’ in having the audacity to do something different, which people don’t expect to see,” the 23-year-old explained.

Bruno Big depicted the words ‘Ousadia Alegria’ with ‘Ousadia’ being represented by a big heart and ‘Alegria’ demonstrated by a clutched fist. These images feature on the impressive looking boots.

The right boot is illustrated with the ‘Ousadia’ image while the left contains the ‘Alegria’ artwork.

Neymar added: “When you take your time to look at them, despite the boots looking the same, they are not,” Neymar clarifies.

The former Santos forward has been in irresistible form this campaign scoring 16 goals in 17 league appearances as the Nou Camp club go in search of repeating last season’s treble season.

Bruno Big painted a huge canvas of 1,000 shoeboxes for the launch of the ‘Ousadia Alegria’ boot and gave the first box of Neymar himself. The remaining 999 shoeboxes with Bruno Big’s artwork on and the boots inside will be available to buy on the Nike Football App on January 31.
