Didier Drogba will not be returning to Chelsea this month in a coaching capacity, Guus Hiddink has confirmed. Reports had previously suggested that the Blues legend would come back to Stamford Bridge to take the next step in his football journey, but they appear to be premature. Hiddink said the club is open to receiving previous icons, but that it would be in the longer-term, not the here and now. Drogba coming back? Well, it will only mean positive things for the Blues. God knows they’re in need of such vibes at the moment. Meanwhile, ears in the Stamford Bridge transfer room are sure to be close to the ground - Diego Simeone has hinted that Antoine Griezmann could leave Atletico Madrid. Simeone said Atletico couldn’t keep the striker there with chains. Chelsea have been linked with him of late.
