The Royal Rumble was an excellent pay-per-view event by the WWE, and it has set up WrestleMania 32 perfectly in so many ways.
If you haven't had time to watch the event yet, go and watch it and come back and read this article and you'll understand how the show was a perfect set up for Mania.
First of all, Dean Ambrose vs Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Championship was brilliant. The night couldn't have started a better way and it was arguably the best fight of the night. That was followed by the Tag Team Championship match, which was okay as it was won by The New Day.

The United States Championship match followed and apart from a bad spot, Kalisto and Alberto Del Rio did well. Charlotte and Becky Lynch had a good Divas Championship match. Not sure why Ric Flair kissed Becky, but the finish means this feud can continue with the inclusion of Sasha Banks as well after she attacked both divas after the clash.
The Royal Rumble itself was epic, and it made a fantastic effort to set up many potential WrestleMania storylines. AJ Styles made his WWE debut in the rumble and was eliminated by Kevin Owens. What a WrestleMania match that would be!
Ambrose looks set to face Chris Jericho after The Lunatic Fringe eliminated Y2J, continuing their feud which has been quiet since their altercation at Night of Champions last year. Brock Lesnar looks set to face The Wyatt Family at Fastlane, before Bray Wyatt at Mania, after The Wyatts eliminated The Beast.
Sami Zayn eliminated his former friend Owens, so he could join the Styles/Owens fight and make it a Triple Threat, but it isn't a necessity. Finally, Triple H made his return and eliminated Roman Reigns to a huge pop, setting up his clash with The Big Dog, and went on to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after throwing Ambrose out of the ring to be the last man.
So the WrestleMania 32 match card could look like this at the moment.
Dean Ambrose vs Chris Jericho for the Intercontinental Championship
Kevin Owens vs AJ Styles (vs Sami Zayn)
Charlotte vs Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch for the Divas Championship
Brock Lesnar vs Bray Wyatt (Hell in a Cell)
Triple H vs Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
The United States Championship and the Tag Team Championship title pictures are still a bit murky, but there is plenty of time to filter them out. Overall, if the WWE follows this layout, WrestleMania 32 is already looking awesome.
