WWE Monday Night Raw: Five awesome moments from this week's show

Old School Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon has been present on Raw for the past few weeks. His return was awesome, but ever since he's just been a bit bland, nothing like the McMahon of old. This week, that all changed.

Vince and Stephanie made their way to the ring to open the show, Vince with his trademark swagger. Just like the Vince McMahon of the 90's, he barked at the awesome Miami crowd to 'shut up.'

He followed up by insulting the crowd, the city and Roman Reigns at every opportunity. This was the McMahon that feuded with Stone Cold, and this is the McMahon that the WWE of today needs.

Chris Jericho Vs. AJ Styles

There aren't many dream matches left in professional wrestling. Undertaker/Sting is one that has lost its magic because everyone involved left it too long, but another is Chris Jericho vs AJ Styles, which happened last night on Raw.

From bell to bell, Jericho and Styles gave it their all. You could tell from the outset that both ring veterans were excited about the match.

The most surprising factor of this match was that WWE was willing to give Styles the big win on his debut. I can see this feud spinning on for the next few weeks, and if their matches stay this good, consider me excited.

This was funny. The standard WWE mid-show comedy segment got flipped on its head by the genius of the Social Outcasts, and the willingness of rapper Flo-Rida. He got into the ring and began a rap battle against Bo Dallas. Bray Wyatt's baby brother dropped some serious bombs on the Miami native, and it was a laugh a minute.

Sasha Banks

Finally, WWE is giving The Boss her due push. Sasha was phenomenal in NXT, and her battles against Bayley will go down as some of the greatest of all time. Since joining the 'main roster' (I really hate that term), she just hasn't been used enough or in the right way.

That changed Sunday night at Royal Rumble when she made it very clear that she was hunting Charlotte's Divas Title and she continued this on Monday when she had an absolutely stellar match with Becky Lynch.

Charlotte interfered and beat up both competitors to fully cement her heel turn. I see this unfolding with a Triple Threat at Fast Lane, followed by a babyface Sasha vs. heel Charlotte at WrestleMania where Sasha will finally get her moment.

The Freakin' Rock!!

Finally, The Rock has come home. Every time The Great One comes back, I get goosebumps. I'm such a mark for The Rock but come back he did, and he electrified like always.

His backstage segment was  hilarious, going off script in the ring was pure gold and his back-and-forth with The New Day left you wanting more and more. Still, only 68 days until we see him again at WrestleMania!
