It was a night for celebration at Anfield on Tuesday evening as Liverpool booked their place in the Capital One Cup final after a dramatic 6-5 penalty shoot-out victory over Stoke City.

Joe Allen scored the winning penalty to send Liverpool through to next month’s final at Wembley and the on-pitch celebrations spilled over into the dressing room.

A funny video has emerged of Lucas and Mamadou Sakho singing together while a bewildered Adam Lallana looks on in the background - and you can watch it by scrolling down this page.

We’re not entirely sure what song they’re singing - or trying to sing, at least - but it’s high-tempo and uplifting. A decent song choice for a post-match celebration.

Liverpool’s players were clearly riding the crest of a wave after reaching their first cup final since 2012 and who can blame them.

Liverpool to face Everton or Man City

Jurgen Klopp’s men will face the winners of this evening’s other Capital One Cup semi-final between Manchester City and Everton.

The Toffees won the first leg 2-1 and will no doubt be desperate to set up a meeting with their neighbours at Wembley on February 28.

Klopp insists he doesn’t care which of the two teams Liverpool will face in the final because, in his words, “we will win the cup”.

Such confidence, it seems, is beginning to spread through to the Liverpool squad.
