Gervinho - an experienced player in Europe's top leagues having played in the Premier League, Ligue 1 and Serie A - will be joined in his move to China by Chelsea's Ramires, whose £25 million move to Jiangsu Suning was also finalised this week.

The 28-year-old will come as a welcome arrival to Hebei, who will hope the Ivorian's pace, dribbling and goalscoring threat will play a vital role in their Super League aspirations.

As with every newly-promoted side, the Qinhuangdao-based outfit will want to make their mark and hope that Gervinho, alongside striker and former Schalke star Edu, can fire them to success.

What's more is Hebei's capture of Gervinho proves they're capable of competing with China's bigger clubs financially, with the aforementioned Jiangsu Suning having also expressed interest in the forward but offering a lesser financial package.

Throughout his two and three-year tenures with Arsenal and Roma respectively, Gervinho managed 26 league goals in 117 appearances. He's also capped 71 times for the Ivory Coast national side.
