The WWE are doing everything they can to make WrestleMania 32 the biggest ever and have even tried to encourage a former champion to make an appearance.

With the Rock already confirmed to be making an appearance and other big stars sure to be in attendance, they are trying to lock up the services of another former champion.

The Animal returns?

Former WWE Champion Batista was reportedly backstage at Sunday's Royal Rumble event and was talking about making an appearance at WrestleMania.

The Animal has been missing since the night after Payback in 2014 when he officially walked out on his Evolution team-mates and quit the WWE.

He has since branched out to Hollywood and developed a successful acting career but could a return to the grandest stage of them all be on the cards?

While it is reported that the higher ups in WWE want Batista to return for WrestleMania in a none competing form, the Animal has declined their offers.

It may not be the end of the negotiations though as he is reportedly open the the idea of appearing in Dallas in April.

The problem was the plan that the WWE creative department generated for his inclusion in the big event at AT&T Stadium.

There is no real story about what they had prepared for him, but it seems like Batista will be open to returning if they can come up with a better story for him.

A big face off

Arguably Batista's best WrestleMania came at Mania 23 where he battled the Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The two pulled off an incredible match and it could be viewed as the Animals top WrestleMania highlight.

But an appearance at Mania 32 could bring him into contact against the Rock or one of the several legends expected to be in attendance.
