FA Cup fifth round draw: Chelsea set to play Manchester City

The draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup has taken place this evening and there are some exciting fixtures on the horizon. 

The standout tie of the fifth round sees Premier League champions Chelsea face rivals Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. 

Manchester United, who will be desperate to win the competition under the guidance of Louis van Gaal, will take on League One outfit Shrewsbury - the lowest ranked team left in the cup.

Holders Arsenal will play host to Hull City while Liverpool or West Ham United will travel to Ewood Park to take on Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers.

Fourth round recap 

Premier League giants Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton and Tottenham all overcame lower league opposition to seal their progression into the fifth round.

Manchester City eased past Premier League strugglers Aston Villa while Liverpool and West Ham will have to meet again after playing out a stalemate at Anfield. 

Peterborough secured an impressive 2-2 draw away at West Brom while Shrewsbury overcame Sheffield Wednesday in a five-goal thriller.
