LA Lakers tie record for worst losing streak in franchise history

Published 1 Comments

Things couldn’t get much worse for the LA Lakers, who are now one loss away from setting a new record. The fact that the Charlotte Hornets beat the Lakers at the weekend means that the franchise has now tied their all-time worst run - they’ve now lost 10 games in a row. The Lakers are now 9 for 41 in what will be Kobe Bryant’s send-off season, with his teammates playing to a chorus of boos at the Staples Center. We’re not going to heap misery on the Lakers by criticising individual performances, but things certainly aren’t rosy at the moment. Elsewhere in the west, the Phoenix Suns have fired coach Jeff Hornacek, the team has confirmed. The Suns sit dangerously close to the bottom of the western conference - they said on Twitter that they expect to have an interim coach appointed by tomorrow.
