NFL turn The Shard into Vince Lombardi Trophy ahead of Super Bowl 50

Super Bowl 50 is now less than a week away and the excitement ahead of the big game is rising by the day. 

Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers will be looking to secure the first Super Bowl win in the franchise's history, while Peyton Manning will want to get his hands on the Vince Lombardi trophy for a second time in what could be his last ever game in the National Football League.

Speaking of the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the NFL decided to give London a bit of a makeover yesterday with a video picturing the famous trophy imposed onto The Shard.

Set to a soundtrack of Coldplay - Viva la Vida, we get to see the tallest building in London decked in gold while great moments and players from Super Bowl's past are shown.

Stretching back to the 1960's we get to see the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs take part in Super Bowl 1, while the Cowboys and Steelers take center stage in the '70's.

The 80's feature William 'Refrigerator' Perry rumbling over the goal-line for a touchdown in Super Bowl XX, while the 90's showcased the San Francisco 49ers dominance and St. Louis Rams winning their first World Championship as the 'Greatest Show on Turf'.

As you could probably have guessed, Tom Brady features heavily from 2000 onwards with Malcolm Butler's game-winning interception from last year being the last clip shown.
