Lagerback extends Sweden deal

Sweden coach Lars Lagerback will remain in charge of the national team until 2008.

Lagerback had an ongoing agreement until the end of the 2006 World Cup but has prolonged his stay, the country´s football federation confirmed to PA Sport on Wednesday.

The 58-year-old Lagerback played a major role for Sweden in their successful qualifying campaigns for Euro 2000 and 2004, and for the last two World Cup finals.
