Manuel Pellegrini considered for Chelsea job

When fans cast their minds to ponder just who will become Jose Mourinho’s permanent replacement at Chelsea, Manuel Pellegrini isn’t the individual they fall upon. The events of the past week though - with Pep Guardiola confirmed to be taking the Etihad reigns this summer - have made Pellegrini a viable candidate for the Stamford Bridge job in the eyes of some. Chilean newspaper El Murcurio back that idea, with his agent having confirmed he wants to stay in England. The latter did say Pellegrini wasn’t just holding out on the big clubs, but it’s a rumour that could stick. Let us know your thoughts on that. Meanwhile, Guus Hiddink has had his say on John Terry’s future - he believes the Blues skipper could stay. The Dutchman said the club still had the door open, admitting he was surprised Terry had said he would leave this summer when his contract ends.
