If there was any doubting the amount of basketball left in Kobe Bryant’s soon-to-be-retired legs then fans now have an answer - he’s got plenty to give. The Lakers managed to stop themselves breaking a franchise record for a losing streak as they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves last night 119-115, with Bryant scoring a season-high 38 points at the Staples Center. That was in spite of Andrew Wiggins posting 30 himself - experience certainly bested raw talent in this case. Meanwhile, staying in LA the Clippers are awaiting the results of an NBA enquiry regarding Blake Griffin before they decide whether or not he joins them for their upcoming road trip. Griffin broke his hand after punching the Clippers assistant equipment manager - the NBA could announce the results of its investigation today.
