The WWE are trying to build up WrestleMania 32 to be the greatest of all-time.

Well, that was their plan until half of their main event stars got injured, forcing Triple H to come out of retirement and become the new World Heavyweight Champion while John Cena, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and more all sit on the sidelines.

With all these top tier wrestlers out, the WWE desperately need more star power to fill out AT&T Stadium and are apparently trying to get in as many former superstars as possible, including Shawn Michaels.

After it was revealed yesterday that Batista had already rejected the chance to appear at 'Mania later this year, the WWE are turning their attention to HBK.

According to a report from PWInsider, WWE officials are said to be very interested in getting Michaels to be a major player at WrestleMania in his home state of Texas.

Vince McMahon already asked Michaels to make a shock return in the Royal Rumble match last month, which he rejected.

A potential opportunity for the former World Champion could be to come back and work as a special referee in the planned WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between the Champion Triple H - who Michaels is best friends with - and Roman Reigns, who will be headlining 'Mania for a second year in a row despite not being that over with the crowd.

This is the same opportunity that Batista reportedly rejected, but we'll have to wait and see if it tempts Michaels out from retirement.
