Pep Guardiola at Manchester City: Steve Howey selects ridiculous potential team

Football News

We're all expecting Pep Guardiola to shake things up when he arrives on English soil in the summer transfer window.

Manchester City may well win the Premier League title this season, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they have a future under their incoming manager.

We're certainly expecting Yaya Toure to depart - Guardiola offloaded the Ivorian during his tenure at Barcelona - while a number of other players could be set to move on.

Ultimately, then, pundits from here, there and everywhere have been predicting Guardiola's potential City line-up ahead of the 2016/17.

Well, it's safe to say that the craziest and most ridiculous potential XI has now emerged...

Seven new signings

So, Steve Howey - the man who made almost 100 Premier League appearances for the Citizens - has taken things slightly too far with his potential City team under Guardiola.

First-thing's-first, four players from the current crop remain. Joe Hart, Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Sergio Aguero slot into his XI.

Alongside the City quartet are Seamus Coleman, Raphael Varane, David Alaba, Andres Iniesta, Paul Pogba, Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann. That's realistic, isn't it?

Crazy XI
