Football News

Modern day footballers have to undergo an extreme diet plan as they look to maximise their performances on the pitch.

Clubs have dieticians and they advise what each individual players should be eating, and when.

So where was Manchester City’s nutritionist when four of their star players started tucking into random body parts of various animals ahead of a massive title clash against Leicester!?

In the video, which you can see below, Sergio Aguero, Joe Hart, Kevin de Bruyne and Fabian Delph are served a plate containing a mystery meat which they must eat before being informed what the food actually was.

It’s like a scene of ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ but featuring world-class footballers.

The results are pretty funny with some players handling the unusual delicacies a lot better than others.

It starts off gently for the four players with a bit of seabass. Nothing too unusual there as Aguero gets stuck in straight away.

The food then becomes a bit more exotic with pig’s ear next on the menu. The reactions are mixed with Hart and De Bruyne identifying that it tasted like pork.

The four players are obviously a bit more hesitant over their next plate which turns out to be a tongue of a duck and it doesn’t seem to go down too well.

The final dish is chicken. But it’s not a chicken breast, wing or drumstick. Instead, they taste some chicken feet. Aguero’s has a taste and his reaction is brilliant as he obviously hates it!

Chinese new year

While these dishes may seem peculiar to us, the City stars were tasting them to celebrate the Chinese New Year, where this food would be normal.

Now, let’s just hope that it hasn’t given their players any illnesses ahead of the clash with Leicester.
