Football News

Fastlane is coming up and as the final stop on the Road to WrestleMania, it will be crucial to set the event up perfectly.

We already know the main event for Fastlane as a triple threat match between Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose.

A rare opportunity?

With the WWE World Heavyweight Championship not set to be defended at Fastlane, the WWE will need the other titles to put on a show.

However with Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose involved in the main event, the title options become more limited.

The first title match announced for the night was the United States Championship match pitting Kalisto against Alberto Del Rio.

However it was announced tonight on RAW that Diva's Champion Charlotte will be defending her title against a fairly unexpected challenger.

With Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks both seemingly eyeing up the title for themselves, neither will fight for it at Fastlane.

Instead Charlotte's opponent for the title in Cleveland will be Brie Bella - the sister of former champion Nikki.

Bella defeated Charlotte last week in a singles match and has now earned herself a shot at the title and a chance to head to WrestleMania as champion.

As for Lynch and Banks, they have a different opportunity for Fastlane.

Tag team battle

Banks and Lynch will now be forming a team of NXT heroines and take on Naomi and Tamina at Fastlane.

Two of NXT's biggest names up against the other members of Team B.A.D leaves a lot of potential title challengers for the winner of Charlotte vs Bella at WrestleMania.
