Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante all had their FIFA 16 stats upgraded this week and, to celebrate, the Leicester City trio were handed two big boards each from EA Sports.

One featured their old FIFA 16 statistics, and the other their upgraded stats.

Mahrez and Kante both tore up their first cards using their hands but Vardy went one better: he headbutted it in two. Chat s**t get banged. (Don’t believe us? Scroll down and watch the bizarre footage from Copa90).

Vardy was originally a silver player - rated 71 overall - with 89 pace, 71 dribbling and 70 for shooting.

The England international is now a gold 75, with 92 for pace - he wanted 99! - 73 dribbling and 76 for shooting.

Vardy leading Golden Boot race

Vardy has scored 18 goals in the Premier League this season, two ahead of Everton’s Romelu Lukaku in the race for the Golden Boot award.

The 29-year-old is a late bloomer - he was still playing for Fleetwood Town in 2012 - but he’s made up for lost time over the past 12 months.

If he can continue his rich vein of form between now and the end of the season, there’s a good chance Leicester will finish the season as Premier League champions. The Foxes are currently the bookmakers’ favourites to win the title following their 3-1 win against Manchester City on Saturday.

However, they take on fellow title rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium this weekend - arguably their most testing match of the season so far.
