Bret 'The Hitman' Hart’s prostate cancer surgery is a success

WWE fans will be glad to hear that Bret Hart's surgery for his prostate cancer was a success.

The Hitman took the time to post a picture of himself with family and friends after his surgery on Instagram to let his fans know how he was getting on.

He said: "Surgery's over and on the long road to recovery. I want to thank Dr. Hyndman and the nursing staff at Rocky View Hospital for an outstanding job. I also want to thank my family, friends, and fans for all your love and support.

"Things are looking up and I should be home in the next couple of days. In the words of Vince McMahon: "It's onwards and upwards."

Hart said in a statement on Facebook recently that he had prostate cancer and that he vowed to "wage a fearsome fight" against the disease. 

The former WWE Champion has overcome adversity many times throughout his life, inside and outside the wrestling ring.

Many superstars and members of the WWE Universe, including Vince McMahon, Triple H, Roman Reigns, Chris Jericho, as well as the world famous Madison Square Garden Arena sent their best wishes to the Canadian once they heard the news.

The reaction to the news just shows how much he means to a lot of people, and many WWE fans will be hoping to see him on Monday Night Raw as soon as he gets better so that they can show him the appreciation he deserves.
