Jurgen Klopp has handed Daniel Sturridge has first start in the Premier League since his appointment as manager in October.

Sturridge hasn’t played in the league since the Reds were defeated 2-0 by Newcastle United on December 6.

The 26-year-old has only managed to make seven appearance this campaign, suffering with numerous muscular injuries.

However, Klopp has decided that the England international is fit enough to start their clash against Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Ironically, Sturridge has already made an injury-comeback against Villa this season, scoring twice in a 3-2 win at Anfield earlier in the season.

Liverpool fans are obviously delighted to see their star striker back in the starting 11 and couldn’t hide their excitement.

But it wasn’t just Sturridge Liverpool fans were eager to watch in attacking. The line-up is the first time that Roberto Firmino, Coutinho and Sturridge have all lined up together and the Kopites couldn’t hide their delight.

It’s little surprise that Liverpool fans are getting a little exciting about the thought of a talented attacking line-up. Their side have scored just 32 goals in 25 Premier League matches as they currently sit in a disappointing 11th.

Liverpool’s opposition are rock bottom and are in desperate need of the points, sitting eight points from safety.
