England rested Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali for the Twenty20 warm-up match against South Africa A at Boland Park.

The absence of the three regulars was anticipated, after they played every match of England's 3-2 one-day international series defeat to South Africa.

They are all likely to be back for Friday's Twenty20 international in Cape Town - while in their place, James Vince, Sam Billings and David Willey had a chance to impress here.

England won the toss and chose to bat first in this day/night fixture.
