After over 10 years on the main roster The Miz, may have found his niche as a believable heel in the WWE.
For the past 2 years he has played off being a ‘Hollywood A-Lister’ and has engaged fans with his feuds with Damien Mizdow, Ryback and now AJ Styles.
I’ll be the first to admit that I wasn’t the biggest Miz fan at first, but over the past couple of years I have grown to really enjoy his work. He is charismatic on the mic, funny and what we have seen in his matches with AJ of recent times is that he can really go.

The Miz hasn’t been wrestling this well in about four or five years and that’s because he has never been given the time to perform since his world title reign.
He was given 10-15 minutes against AJ and I don’t know if it was just because he was in the ring with the Phenomenal One, but the match was really good! There last encounter on RAW was no doubt the best match of the entire night.
The Miz is way more entertaining playing a heel, but with the last time he portrayed babyface was back in early 2014, it’s likely that maybe soon we could see a potential turn, probably to promote a movie. The thing about The Miz is that he can promote his movies and play off being arrogant character because he is actually funny. His ‘when my hand goes up your mouth goes shut’ gag is actually heel brilliance and doesn’t get enough of a pop.
The real question is, what do you do with The Miz now?
WWE teased the idea of putting him in another tag team similar to what he was doing with Mizdow. This is a great idea because The Miz can play off being the ‘mentor’ of Daniel Bryan and draw significant heat off the crowd, considering Bryan just retired.
They tried pushing Neville or AJ Styles to be that guy, but this was never going to work because they’re already too over as babyfaces. It needs to be a heel that Miz can catapult into superstardom.
Stardust is the man for the job. Fantastic technician, tag team specialist and someone who needs that extra push to take the next step. Now you could revert him back to his Cody Rhodes character, but by putting he with The Miz, either way, would be beneficial for his career.
Also, with Stardust feud with Stephen Amell still surfacing it could be another great opportunity to get the star of Arrow to make some more WWE appearances. Having Stardust attacking his Arrow persona and The Miz calling on his celebrity status could be extremely entertaining TV.
