With Rafael dos Anjos having only been forced out of his UFC 196 fight against Conor McGregor on Monday, the Irishman and his new opponent, Nate Diaz, don't have the luxury of months to build up their upcoming bout.

Judging by the duo's heated press conference on Tuesday night, however, it doesn't look like either of the fighters need it ahead of the March 5 event.

Fighting talk

McGregor and Diaz have exchanged words in the past, and yesterday was no different as they traded putdowns and expletives in front of the world's media. Scroll down to watch the 'highlights' of the press conference.

WARNING: The below video contains NSFW language throughout.

Both fighters are known for being outspoken, and they certainly lived up to that reputation in this three-minute clip alone.

From the Irish star championing his own 'McGregor belt' and belittling Diaz's career to date, to the American putting his upcoming opponent's success down to "fighting midgets," there was no shortage of talking points.

The highlight, though? The UFC stars battling to prove which of them gave less of a f***.

Task ahead

Although fighting fans are disappointed they will no longer get to see McGregor and dos Anjos do battle in just over a week's time, McGregor vs Diaz still has the potential to be an explosive fight.

Although Diaz lost to dos Anjos in his fight before last, the California native has a wealth of experience inside the Octagon and is sure to pose his Irish rival a whole host of questions come March 5 at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas.
