One Leicester City fan loves Jamie Vardy so much that he’s convinced his partner - with the help of 5,000 signatures on a petition - to name their unborn daughter after the Premier League’s top scorer.
This is according to BBC News, who understand that Ashley Marriott’s daughter will be blessed with the middle name Vardy.
Somehow he managed to convince his girlfriend, Daisy Adde, that this would be a good idea - and now it’s actually going to happen.

"I have been a City fan all my life,” Ashley told the Leicester Mercury. "Vardy is such a star I wanted to pay tribute to his greatness by giving our child his name.
"This season we are in dreamland and I can't let that go by without some kind of gesture.
"I just hope people read this and start signing my petition."
'He wouldn't stop going on about it'
Daisy, meanwhile, explained why she has agreed to her partner’s rather bizarre plan.
"I thought he was joking at first,” the 23-year-old store manager revealed, “but he would not stop going on about it so I agreed that if he got 5,000 signatures, I would relent and let him have Vardy as our daughter's middle name."
Ashley revealed that Daisy has now come around to the idea following his internet campaign.
"Jokingly the other night she said to me, 'I've been following your campaign, it's not really got anywhere', and the day after...it went everywhere," he told BBC News.
"I'm happy and I think she's taken to it now - there's no way you can back out from it now."
The article features a comment from a ‘Jamie Vardy’ - although it’s unclear whether it’s the England international, an impersonator or someone with the same name.
It reads: “Follow your dream mate, support us all the way!! Thankful to you for being so loyal and a true fan to dedicate her middle name to me."
Vardy's fiancée calls the fan 'insane'
But one person against the idea is Vardy’s fiancée, Rebekah Nicholson, who called Ashley “insane” on Twitter.
After being asked by Ashley - AKA ‘Ash Bash’ - on Twitter if he could get a retweet from Rebekah, she responded: Nooooo you can't do that! 😳🙈”
He sent another tweet saying: “we over 1000 now :) its gunna happen now #lcfc @LCFC”
And she then replied: “😳😳🙈 you're insane!“
It’s hard not to disagree with Rebekah.
Is it a nice gesture - or a bit cruel?
Although Vardy has been magnificent for Leicester this season, naming your unborn daughter after the striker seems a little bit unnecessary - perhaps even a little cruel?
Fortunately, it’s only the matter name and not her forename, but still…
