Throughout his illustrious career, Kobe Bryant has faced many great defenders, but now he has named the best one he has ever gone up against. It's Tony Allen.
Bryant has been giving and receiving gifts ever since he announced that he would be retiring from the NBA, varying from shoes to video packages from the teams he's visited during his farewell tour.
After his Los Angeles Lakers were defeated by the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night by a score of 112-95, Kobe gave Allen an amazing gift and a brilliant compliment as well.
The Black Mamba showed respect to his rival guard by giving him an autographed pair of white sneakers after the game.
Allen tweeted a picture of his gift from the Lakers star, which included a note from Bryant which said: "To Tony, the best defender I ever faced!"
Regardless of which team he was playing for, whether that be the Boston Celtics or the Grizzlies, Bryant believes Allen was one of his toughest opponents on the court and one of the best he has ever faced.
That's quite an honour to receive from one of the best players to ever play in the NBA.
