Louis van Gaal stole the social media limelight with his comical dive against Arsenal, so hopefully this outstanding piece of control from Manchester United winger Memphis Depay doesn’t go under the radar.

Juan Mata spotted the Dutch international, who was outstanding against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday night, on the left flank and pinged a left-footed pass to him.

Memphis kept his eye on the ball and then brilliantly took it under his spell by flicking it over his head with the bottom of his left foot. It was a remarkable piece of skill and you can watch it by scrolling down this page.
