WWE Roadblock takes place on March 12, and several matches have been confirmed for the card while the rest will likely be confirmed this week on Monday Night Raw.

So far, we know The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) will take on Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady in a tag team match for the NXT Tag Team Championship, Brock Lesnar will battle against Bray Wyatt, and Triple H will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Dean Ambrose.

A few more matches are expected to be added to the event throughout this week, and one superstar who could be involved is NXT's Sami Zayn.

According to Wrestling Inc, the former NXT Champion will be appearing at Roadblock this weekend at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, Canada, but it is still unclear if he will be competing on the show.

It has already been speculated that Zayn will be competing at WrestleMania 32 later this year, where he could be having a match of some sort against the Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens. They could build up towards that match this weekend.

If Sami was to appear at Roadblock, then the WWE could set up the angle for him being there by having him appear on Monday Night Raw tonight. This would be the first time he would appear on the show since May 2015, when he wrestled in his hometown of Montreal, Canada against John Cena in one of his weekly 'U.S. Open Challenges'.

The WWE can't go wrong if they set up a feud between Zayn and Owens for the Intercontinental Championship, as when the two feuded back in NXT for the NXT Championship, it was one of the feuds of the year. It should live up to the same hype and expectation.

The only thing the company has to worry about is the possibility of Zayn becoming injured again, as injury problems have limited his progression within the WWE so far. His most recent was a shoulder injury before his match with Cena that caused him to be sidelined for seven months, and he has only made his return from that injury last December.

However, with so many superstars currently out injured, the WWE simply can't risk having a poor WrestleMania card. A clash between Zayn and Owens would certainly boost the card's appeal to the WWE Universe, and bring around more fan satisfaction at the end of the night.

If Sami was to win the Intercontinental Championship as well, Zayn vs Owens could become one of the feuds which the WWE relies on to carry them through to SummerSlam later this year. It could also add some much-needed respect to the title as well.
