Over the past few weeks, WWE has had some big names returning to Monday Night Raw. It was The Undertaker last week, and the surprise return of Shane McMahon the week before.
This week was a little different. While there still was a return, it wasn't as big as the two previously mentioned. Nevertheless, fans will still be extremely happy to see him back on the main roster.
That person is NXT Superstar Sami Zayn.

The former NXT Champion returned to Raw last night to defend Neville after his arch rival Kevin Owens had pursued the British wrestler to beat him down after the two had a match. The Intercontinental Champion was about to powerbomb Neville on the ring apron when Zayn came running down the ramp and helped The Man That Gravity Forgot while he was down.
Zayn and Neville then cleared Owens out of the squared circle, forcing him to retreat back up the ramp with his title, leaving Sami and Neville standing tall in the ring.
Sami's return was given a good pop by the WWE Universe, as this was the first time he has appeared on the show since May 2015 when he wrestled in his hometown of Montreal, Canada against John Cena for the United States Championship.
During a WWE.com exclusive interview after his appearance, Zayn stated that he had returned to Raw in order to continue his rivalry with Owens, which will be a pleasant sight for WWE fans to see.
Zayn's inclusion in the storyline with the current Intercontinental Champion can only mean good things for fans of the WWE, and it adds further to the rumors of his potential WrestleMania 32 match.
Over the past week, there has been speculation suggesting Owens will defend his Intercontinental Championship in a multi-man match at WrestleMania later this year, and Sami Zayn could very well be a participant in this match.
They're both expected to appear on SmackDown this week on MizTV with The Miz to give further context behind their feud for the fans who hadn't seen them clash during their feud in NXT.
It still isn't too late for the WWE to book a match between Owens and Zayn at Roadblock this weekend. This was speculated earlier this week as reports emerged stating Sami will be appearing at the event, but it wasn't clear if he would be competing.
Zayn vs Owens has the potential to go beyond WrestleMania and well into the next few months, becoming a reliable feud to keep fans interested up until SummerSlam later this year when currently injured wrestlers, such as Seth Rollins, are expected to return.
