How WrestleMania 32 is shaping up to be one of the best in recent times

The WWE have come under criticism this past year with fans not holding back on their feelings towards the current product, whether it’s booking decisions or lack of opportunities for stars that deserve them.

It hasn’t been made easy for the company either; they need to put on entertaining, fresh shows multiple times per week, but injuries haven’t helped their cause and ratings have reflected on that.

The biggest negative heading towards WrestleMania is the reaction the golden boy of the WWE is receiving. Fans don’t want Roman Reigns in the main event, and they don’t want him competing for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, so much so that they’re cheering for the heel in Triple H.

It’s been tough for the WWE, things haven’t been in their favour or in their control at times, but they’ve still managed to make the most of what they have available and in reality, they’ve put together an amazing WrestleMania card.

All we need to do is take a look at what’s booked so far for the event; they’re matches fans will either want to see or matches which will exceed all expectations. For so long we have criticised the Diva’s division with most of the women doing nothing at WrestleMania – or anywhere else for that matter.

At WrestleMania it’s going to be different, we have three of the best and most talented women competing in a triple threat match for the Diva’s Championship. Who would have thought a year ago on NXT that Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch would be the three top Diva’s in the company and would have a huge chance to shine?

AJ Styles and Chris Jericho will have a match as well, something we could only dream of at one stage as wrestling fans because it never looked as if AJ Styles would join the WWE. Although Reigns vs. Triple H isn’t the ideal main event the fans want to see, you can’t deny the fact that both men could and should put on an incredible match as they do step up in pressure situations.

The Undertaker is going to be in action as well with Shane McMahon as his opponent, and it will be inside Hell in a Cell. That’s the last thing fans would have guessed when it comes to The Deadman’s opponent and the storyline has played out fantastically so far.

A No Holds Barred street fight between Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar shows just how much faith the WWE have in Ambrose as it never looked as if he could lure Lesnar into the ring, especially at WrestleMania.

The matches that have been announced so far are ones we’re looking forward to seeing, but then there’s the excitement surrounding the potential matches we could see. The Andre the Giant memorial battle royal is exciting because we never know who can pull out with a win and this year it’ll be no different.

Kalisto will have his time to shine too as he’s rumoured to be going up against Ryback for the United States Championship. Kalisto is a fantastic talent, and a singles match is huge for him and shows he’s trusted enough to go out there and put on a show.

The New Day are going to have a glorious opportunity to prove they’re the best act going in the WWE today, they’ll definitely be bringing their antics to the AT&T Stadium and will get plenty of laughs out of the fans too.

Then you look at Kevin Owens and his potential opponent for the Intercontinental Championship. Sami Zayn looks like the one they’ll go with, and that just shows how far Steen and Generico have come since their Ring of Honor days.

Every match has the right build; there’s enough time given to each feud for it to develop and the WWE haven’t rushed anything despite coming under scrutiny for being very slow in announcing their matches for WrestleMania.

On paper, you could argue that this card is levels above the WrestleMania XXX and 31, two events which have been considered as highly successful and entertaining. For months and months, fans have argued that this WrestleMania will be one of the worst, but we have to credit the WWE for the way they have booked this show.

They know how to book a great card, and they’ve done it perfectly with what they have available to them. Imagine how much better the card would have been if the likes of Cesaro, John Cena and Seth Rollins weren’t injured.

If every single star steps up at the event, then it could go down as one of the greatest WrestleMania events in history. It does come as a surprise considering how bad things looked a few months ago, and now it’s up to the WWE to make sure the event delivers in person and not just on paper.
