The fixtures for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro have been released and Team USA will open their gold medal defence with a game against China.
The Americans have been drawn in Group A and will face Venezuela and Australia as they look to make it three consecutive gold medals. There are still two qualifying nations to take their place in the group.
Spain and Argentina have been drawn in Group B along with hosts Brazil and Nigeria, and the final remaining qualifier.
The final tournaments to determine the remaining nations in Brazil will take place in July and will include the likes of France, Greece and Serbia.
The draw happened in Miles, Switzerland and the competition begins on August 6, with the top four teams from each group reaching the quarter-finals.
U.S. coach Mike Krzyzewski said in a statement: "So we know that they'll not only be excellent teams, but they will already be on a roll when they get to the Olympics."
The United States will be strong favourites to take home the gold medal but it will be interesting to see how they deal with the tag of favourites.
In 2012, they were imperious as they left London with the gold following a 107-100 win over Spain.
