Kobe Bryant and LeBron James are two of the best players to ever grace the hardwood. The future Hall of Famers have enjoyed many battles over the years and faced each other for the final time on Thursday night.

The Cleveland Cavaliers overcame the Los Angeles Lakers during Kobe's final appearance at the Quicken Loans Arena, but the night was more about the last matchup of the two greats.

Bryant produced a vintage moment as he faked out the Cavaliers star on his way to 26 points.

With the Black Mamba's career approaching its final call, there has been plenty of time to appreciate his greatest moments in the NBA.

However, one thing that all basketball fans will wish they had seen was a Kobe and LeBron matchup in the NBA Finals.

Collectively, they have been involved in the last nine Finals but have never faced each other.

Following the loss in Cleveland, Kobe was asked if he had any regrets about the matchup never happening, but the Lakers legend insisted he was only disappointed for the fans.

The media have often portrayed a rivalry between the two superstars, but there is nothing but respect between of the best in their trade.
