Adnan Januzaj’s Manchester United career is in the balance after he was frozen out of the squad by Louis van Gaal.
The Belgium international, who returned to Old Trafford in January after his season-long loan deal with Borussia Dortmund was terminated early, has angered Van Gaal and could be sold this summer, according to Steve Bates in the Sunday People.
Januzaj is understood to have “made Van Gaal’s blood boil” due to his poor attitude in an Under-21 match against Middlesbrough at the end of last month. The report adds that Van Gaal is also angry with Andreas Pereira for showing a lack of professionalism in the same game.

Since the Under-21 match against Middlesbrough on February 29 - which United came from behind to win 2-1 - Januzaj and Pereira have failed to make Van Gaal’s previous three match-day squads.
The talented duo were left out of the squad that beat Watford 1-0, the squad that lost 1-0 to West Brom last weekend and the squad beaten by Liverpool in the Europa League last Thursday.
United need Januzaj and Pereira v West Ham
Both players were expected to feature in this afternoon’s FA Cup clash against West Ham but, if this report is accurate, it’s possible that Van Gaal will continue to ostracise them.
However, that could end up backfiring on Manchester United, whose supporters are expecting an improved performance following last week’s embarrassing display at Anfield.
Januzaj showcased his class with a brace against Oldham in a closed doors friendly last week and possesses the individual ability to make a difference against the Hammers this afternoon.
The same can be said of Pereira, who is widely regarded as one of the club’s most gifted young starlets.
