Diego Simeone is the opposite of Louis van Gaal. Few managers show more emotion on the touchline than the passionate Atletico Madrid head coach.

The Argentine wears his heart on his sleeve and was put through the mill by his players during this evening’s Champions League last-16 second leg at the Vicente Calderon.

The 45-year-old ran down the touchline shouting, arms wide open, by joining the rest of his players and staff in a big bundle.

"I'm really happy to see how the crowd got behind the side. We believe, our coach makes us believe,” Juanfran told reporters after the match.

"I don’t want to draw a Spanish side in the competition. Whoever we get will be very strong."
